I would too say that I am impressed with how hard this thing hits, after I got it in the right box it showed it power and capabilities. It may not be the crystal clear sound that some other way more expensive subs can offer but guaranteed to piss off the neighbors and give all the bass most audiophiles will ever need.Giving it about 900 watts in a ported star Armour coated box its hitting around 38 to 36 on the low range and rattles the brain quite well. Overall very satisfied for the price 🤘

Very solid sub, great value, significant upgrade from my JL Audio W3-4 12″.

I swapped these in place of some Alpine S subs in hopes of getting more volume due to their increased power handling and beefier magnet structure. In the end, I think I only got a bit more output due to the voicecoil configuration that made the amp see a 1ohm load vs. 2 with the Alpines, otherwise I would say the larger motors didn’t mean much for raw output and made them harder to fit in my small enclosure. That said, these things still sound pretty great and handle power really well without distortion. Sound quality is good and the bang for the buck is definitely there!

The media could not be loaded. Works really good!!! I’m putting this sub in a 1972 chevy nova. I was testing it out in that video, that wasn’t full base tho, it can go even more

I moved up from the SDR 12 and definitely glad I did. The SDR is a great sub especially for the price but this one sounds quite a bit better. Would almost call it an sq sub but it still beats too running it off an rp1500 and I’d take this over a jl w7 or an alpine type r. I have owned both. Good subs but overpriced would be an understatement especially when you can get comparable sub from Skar at just over $100

I’ve had this subwoofer for a couple months now I’m amazed at what this subwoofer is capable of. I got it ran by a pioneer receiver with 4 volt preamps and a Rockville dB14 1000 watt CEA-Rated amp. I have it tuned to exactly 800 watts RMS @ a 45Hz -3dB test tone frequency. It makes my $50 sealed box squeal and its 5/8 MDF. I wouldn’t recommend doing it but I’ve turned up the amps gains past my setting to see when it would distort and it doesn’t. If you blow this SVR sub you probably have something wrong or are pushing insane power to it.Update 6 months later: I’ve abused this 12 inch SVR past a breaking point. Knew I was feeding it 1000 watts rms for months from calculation from voltage meter but finally hooked an oscilloscope up and the rockville db14 was clipping big time! This woofer has handled over rated power and punishment for months, and it was clipping! Not clipping a little clipping a lot! How the cone is still attached to the spider is remarkable. I ripped a skar 300 watt 8in. Cone off it’s spider 2 years ago fairly easily with clipping from a garbage planet audio 1500watt amp (more like 125 watt amp). Im 36 years old and I had my system bought and paid for at 15 and my first car cost $750. The dual 12’s and the setup up cost more than my car at that time. How this skar 12″SVR is still sounding amazing after the punishment I’ve dished out is remarkable!

Love this sub, especially for the price. It fit into this custom box for my truck but that sub needs to breathe! I don’t use the back seat much so just went went with a bigger ported box and this thing slams! Still breaking it in and I am running on a Fosgate T1000 and the sub is set up parrallel. Doesn’t come with screws which was odd though.

Previously I had another name brand subwoofer installed, but even after break in, they seemed as if they were missing something. They didn’t have the oomph I was looking for. I installed just one of the Skar SVR-12 D4 and wired it to 2 ohm on ~800 watts and it sounded better than two of the other brand playing together. I installed the other subwoofer, wired them to 1 ohm on my Skar 1200.1 amp, and they bump… they bump bump… literally to the point where I said to myself while driving, “this is what I was looking for…” The bass isn’t overwhelming, but punchy when need be, and rolls nicely. Two better sounding subs for about half the price of the other name brand subs. I’m upgrading to a 2000 watt Skar amp soon, but that’s going to require a slight wiring upgrade, though.
