Purchased the item through Amazon, bought it new and not used or semi used… setup was pretty easy… just hook it up like they says. Do a few custom adjustments. Relink the rest of the hubs through the house using all the same profile and bang! Everything back online within 15min of setup. I would like to agree w some comments on the Armor sw… I officially decided not to setup since I have a firewall for my house already. So without it the setup was super easy like I said. Did a few customization and did go crazy on it like others. And everything work like a charm. The router automatically did the firmware update immediately after starting up so that help me going to do it manually. So wonderful product. The speed is great and if you don’t have wifi6 compatible it is ok… you are basically future proofing your network since the next gen of products will be moving that direction. Good job Netgear on another wonderful product. Happy to have purchased it to upgrade my x7000 series.

You get what you pay for. This isn’t cheap, but what an improvement over what I was running before. Before, all my systems on WIFI would lag. Now, with 3 computers, 2 iPads, 2 POS terminals, and up to 6 employees with phones, I have absolutely zero issues. We stream music and videos all day while helping customers and ringing up sales via my web based POS system without any lag. Why didn’t I get this sooner?

This router will handle the load of multiple Wi-Fi devices without issue. With many devices trying to stream, it was time for an upgrade, and this was a good choice! My speed more than tripled!

Registration and basic setup was very easy. After putting in my original network name and password, all my devices showed up immediately. Network performance is excellent—much better than I expected. Only one of my devices were mis-identified; but this was easily corrected. Accessing the web admin tool using Safari was a bit tricky, but once I figured out the appropriate syntax for the url I had no problems. Setting up port forwarding was very easy.

I have had several NETGEAR routers. The last one: RAX70 was good until it got bogged down by having more than 40 Wi-Fi devices connected to it. The set up was easy. DO NOT activate Armor! It seems to give the router issues causing it to drop signal. My speeds went from 300-400 to 650-700. No more lag on my network and all my devices are connected with out any issues. NETGEAR customer support still sucks and I don’t see it getting better anytime soon so don’t fall for the trap of buying the extra tech support. Resetting the router does not cost any money. The router it self is great. As long as you don’t activate Armor, you won’t have any issues.

I’ve had the same exact issue that everyone else in the comment section is having then I went on the netgear forums and someone said that using the armor protection trial was the reason it caused the router to constantly drop the signal and internet loss. so I did just that. Do a hard reset on the router do a new system setup but close the screen when it comes up to the netgear armor part so that u don’t have the free trial and boom it work like a dream. until netgear fixes that armor bug just don’t use it until then. easy fix!

Easy to setup. Super fast and handles all connected devices with ease.

Great router with crazy fast speed and good app but the constant marketing for their shield service is off putting considering the premium price of the router. I also expected the tri band feature to automatically switch for devices instead of manually connecting to each band. I would have like more App features. Overall, I am satisfied but there is room for improvement

I have a couple 6g phones and this RAXE500 works perfectly for them. I like the browser webpage. It had all of the nerdy settings that I like to configure. I have this device residing on the far corner of my house yet it is able to send very nice signals to the opposite side, through floors and walls. I use WiFi calling all day and keep steady streams going without interruption.I’ve found the RAXE500 to be a very steady performer.
