The media could not be loaded.  This is my second AKASO camera. My first is the AKASO V50 Pro. Outstanding camera. On the Brave 7 LE AKASO really stepped up their game. They have added image stabilization and a forward facing screen. The image stabilization is decent and the front screen is rather handy. Of the three action cameras, on the market, with a front facing screen this is less than half the price than the OSMO and one quarter the price of the GoPro HERO9. I am not saying this is equal in a side by side comparison with either of these other cameras but dollar for dollar it is the best action camera value on the market. Not sorry I purchased either of these cameras. The second photo of flowers is from the Brave 7 LE and the third photo is from the V50 Pro. I would have like to compare the video stabilization off and on but could only upload one video in the review so I uploaded the one with stabilization on. Not bad for under $120.

This is an update to my initial review. I want to say thank you to this company for their incredible customer service. This company reached out to me on their own and offered to send me a replacement camera. I’m really just blown away by how great they are. Maybe the best customer service I have ever had in my life.As far as the camera goes. I believe the first camera may have been defective because it’s like night and day. This one has very good video and I really like the ability for slow motion effects. Also the audio recording is pretty amazing. You wouldn’t expect it to be so good in this small package. Another thing I like is it feels really solid and durably built. I have other action cameras that are very cheap feeling compared to this one. This is also the only action camera I have with a front screen and a remote. I haven’t had a chance to fully use this camera and see it’s full potential but so far I think it’s a real winner.

I purchased the Akaso Brave 7 LE to film my kayak fishing trips. I have the Akaso EK7000, this camera will take its place as my main camera. I was looking for a camera that provides excellent video, sound, and is water resistant without a case. First off, I was surprised by the feel of this camera, it feels like it built solid. It doesn’t have that cheap feel that most action cameras have. I’ve used this camera at 1080p 60fps so far. In my opinion the video quality is better than the EK7000, and comparable to my GoPro Session. Sound was the big selling point for me. The internal mic on the Brave 7 LE was able to pick up my voice at acceptable levels for me, and did a much better job than the EK7000 while in it’s waterproof case. The front screen is an added bonus, I’m now able to make sure I’m in frame while recording. The Brave 7 LE has a number of features that I’ll be trying out in the future. Overall I think this is a great little camera for a great price.Update 8/30/20. I’ve used the Brave 7 LE multiple times now and it has served its purpose without issue. I run it off of a battery pack in my Kayak and it takes great video with more than acceptable sound. I’m very happy with this purchase.

The media could not be loaded.  I already own the Akaso EK7000, and have been impressed with the balance of features/price. The EK7000 was my very first action camera, and I’ve had a great time using it to record biking adventures. Although I’ve been happy with the EK7000, I decided to upgrade, and I’m glad I did. This camera is just awesome. The video quality is very good, and with EIS, it actually exceeds my expectations for a camera at this price. I’ve clipped a small piece of video from a short ride around my neighborhood. As this video is uploading as I write this, I can’t be sure the quality will match the source media on my SSD, but to my eye, the quality is just amazing. I worked for many years in broadcast television as a videographer/editor in the creative services departments for ABC, CBS, and FOX (entertainment division!), so I’m used to handling professional equipment, and to me, for pure enjoyment, this little camera gives me exactly what I want. I couldn’t be more pleased.

My daughter and I are going on our first scuba diving experience together and we wanted to document our excursion. We both wanted an action camera, but didn’t want to pay for two GoPros. So, she got a GoPro 7 Black and I got the Akaso Brave 7 LE. While there are some minor differences in picture/video quality between the GoPro and the Akaso, I prefer the Akaso. I tested both at 1080P30 because that setting had the best battery life for the GoPro. The video quality was very good on the Akaso, but the GoPro was a bit sharper…but for the price of the Akaso, I can live with quality of the Akaso’s video. I also noticed that the battery life was much, much better on the Akaso. Plus, you get two batteries and a charger included with the package. To get an extra battery and charger for the GoPro would be an additional $35. I love that for $139 I received a camera that is great, lots of accessories including the dive housing! (I had to pay extra to get the dive housing for the GoPro.) So far I love the Akaso Brave 7 LE camera and would recommend it to anyone looking for an entry level action camera!8/24/20 – My daughter and I just went on a second dive trip to practice our skills….in Lake Denton in Sebring, FL. Again, she took her GoPro 7 Black and I took the Akaso Brave 7 LE. The depth in this lake was deeper than on our first dive. At 45 feet down the red is filtered out of the light, so I thought this would be perfect to test the true capabilities of the dive setting on the Akaso. My daughter does not have a red filter for her Go Pro, so I was comparing her regular video/pictures with the Akaso with the dive setting on. To be honest, the colors from the Go Pro were much more vibrant than the Akaso with the dive setting turned on. However, the images from the Akaso were still crisp and clear. I just had to add in the red with my video editing software. Just an extra step I am willing to do for the difference in price for the Akaso Brave 7 LE versus the Go Pro 7 Black. The Akaso is easy to use, even in the dive housing. Battery life is still superior in the Akaso. And I have images/video to document our dive!

I didn’t want to buy a Go Pro camera and saw quite a few You Tube videos on the Brave 7. What was very surprising was the excellent video quality and image quality that the Brave 7 had as compared to the DJI Osmo Action and Go Pro. When I opened the box the amount of attachments that came with Akaso Brave 7 was very much unexpected.I took the Brave 7 out on my boat for the first time and really liked the video quality. The wind noise reduction was on and image stabilization worked perfectly when the boat went over waves. I used the included underwater camera housing and took some video underwater and once again was impressed when I viewed the video on my pc.I think the menu is very easy to use as well with a logical flow of the different modes the Brave 7 has to offer. The only thing I didn’t realize was when I was recording video the screen would turn off but the video still recorded. I contacted Akaso and received an immediate response to my inquiry and a setting could be changed before the Brave goes into battery saver. I wish it had feature to leave the screen on all the time.Overall, I feel for what the Brave 7 has to offer I see no reason to spend more than double for a Go Pro. It offers a lot of similarities for a great price. If you compared side by side videos and pictures made by the Brave 7 and Go Pro or even the Osmo Action you would be hard pressed to tell the difference IMO. I doubt I will use all the features it has but I mainly use it for recording golf swings, water sports and drone FPV video. For what I paid, the build quality, added accessories (2 Batteries), and overall excellent video quality for the price works for me.

While this was my first action camera purchase I have been a photographer for over 40 years. Twin lens reflex, SLR, D-SLR and now an AKASO compact action camera. I was looking for something to strap on a drone for higher resolution photos and videos than what I was getting from the camera that came with my drone. An additional bonus for me is the waterproof case. When I was talking about cameras I forgot to mention my dedicated dive cameras and housings both SLR and D-SLR. When I saw the great price I started reading the reviews and decided to take a chance. Man did I hit the jackpot, this little guy does everything as advertised. I have only had it for a day and it has already been flying. I will be diving with it in a couple of weeks and will post an update.

Arrived on 9 July 20. Charged batteries, formatted a 64Gb microSD card that I had, and went outside to shoot photos and video. Both types of capture gave excellent results. See my two photos of some figs on my tree. One is the overall shot reduced from the original size. The other is a composite of a small crop from that image, and alongside, the same run through a De-niose program. As you can see, there was very little noise to remove. Also, see a frame capture from a video inside my messy greenhouse, shot at Super-Wide and 4K 30 fps.Not to mention all the accessories for mounting the camera, the Dive Housing, the second battery, the wristband remote, and much more. I have many thousands of dollars invested in other cameras and lenses, and this one comes close with similar quality photos. With the waterproof housing, take it anywhere in your pocket. At this price with all the extras, it would make a great gift for any occasion.

Just received my first Akaso brave series. I have 3 other Akaso sport cams. The V50, V50 Pro and The V50x. The Brave 7LE Packaging was very impressive. It differs from anything on the market. The front and rear screen are a welcome addition because this will be on my motorcycle helmet. The fact that it’s Akasos first water resistant sport cam puts it on the helmet. Small silhouette and no need for a waterproof case makes all the difference for me. Add in Akasos top notch performance and I’m really happy I made the purchase. If your on the fence get it. Lots of features and accessories for this price.

The media could not be loaded.  It starts with an awesome presentation with the packaging and a note from the manufacturing thanking them you for the purchase. THe housing of the unit is constructed of more hardy and durable materials that would in my mind be equal to a gopro.. Many of the alternative products to gopro tend to have a weak exterior with doors being very easily broken. It just feels better in the hand and perception of quality manufacturing/design.The quality of video and pictures are very well done. The interface is very simple to use on the screen. If you are using this for “selfie” mode, it has 2 screens and one is for seeing what you are filming direct facing the lens.It comes with 2 batteries and a charge stand that can do 2 charges at one time. There is also a wrist controller that an start/stop video or pictures. If you are looking for quality, ease of use, durability, and great value. This is good for you.
